  • Medical massage: Outcome-based massage therapy treatment that can include improving functionality after an injury, surgery, relieve pain, manage a chronic condition, or therapeutic speech massage for speech disorders. When performed in a series of sessions that build on each other, many conditions can be improved or eliminated for the long term. Examples of conditions: rotator cuff injuries, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, repetitive stress injuries, speech disorders.

Session are in the style of combination massage therapy. This means it is a combination of relaxation and deep tissue work. It is designed for clients seeking pain relief in specific muscle groups while still desiring to relax. While others typically charge for traditional add-ons such as gua sha, cupping, hot stones, & aromatherapy, my pricing includes any or all of these add-ons as needed or requested. This allows me to be able to do the therapy I know the body needs in order to maximize your healing. To receive a specific modality or treatment, you can do so on the scheduling page.

Modalities

  • Pregnancy massage: Massage therapy is a low-risk, non-pharmacological intervention that has shown many benefits for pregnant women & their infant. Benefits include: alleviating back & leg pain, reducing labor pain, lessening postoperative pain, reducing stress, anxiety, & easing insomnia.

  • Geriatric massage: Aims at improving specific aging health conditions, such as stiff muscles, limited mobility, & chronic pain. Massage for elders also reduces pain & swelling, lowers blood pressure, decreases stress, fear, & anxiety. Because mature skin contains less moisture & is more susceptible to bruising & tearing, seniors should consult with a physician to learn if a massage is appropriate for their bodies, especially those who are recovering from a heart or stroke incident. Because of the aforementioned conditions associated with geriatric massage, sessions are typically shorter.

  • Sports massage: Focuses on enhancing circulation, increasing tissue elasticity & reducing muscle tension. Tight muscles can limit flexibility, increase pain & cause future injuries.

  • Athletic Kids massage: Children athletes experience all the aches & pains their adult counterparts do. Designed to help your young athletes before & after training. Sports massage helps increase flexibility, prevent injuries, & improve performance. For safety of the child & myself, a parent must be present for the entire duration of the massage. There will be an excessive amount of communication & explanation throughout the session. Your child’s comfort is the priority.
